My wife Kate and I have always wanted to maintain a beautiful lawn, but for years we were never satisfied with the results of the lawn care services we employed. In our experience, the majority of local turf care companies are primarily concerned with acquiring as many accounts as possible to expand their franchise. Their employees are poorly trained and underpaid, working only to meet their "production quota" for the day. Quality is simply not their priority.
After repeated disappointments with both larger franchises and smaller locally-owned companies, I finally gave up trying to find a quality turf care company. I opted to do the work myself, researching products and techniques with the guidance of a friend who was then superintendent of the Merion Golf Club.
As we worked together, we discussed the need for a local boutique lawn care company; one that could provide golf-course quality turf care with a unique and highly specialized approach for each client. From these discussions, we dreamed the idea of "Clubhouse Lawns" into reality.
We pride ourselves in the high level of expertise and experience our employees offer to our clients. Our current operations manager, Dave Super, served as Head Groundskeeper for the Delmara Shorebirds (a minor league affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles) for eight years before joining Clubhouse in 2016. Not only does he do exemplary work "in the field", Dave goes above and beyond to personally share his passion and knowledge with our clients both one-on-one and via our periodic Clubhouse newsletters.
This business launched in April of 2014, and our commitment to quality and exceptional customer service continues to satisfy over 100 clients. We prefer to call them "members"!
